These are some of the images I have taken for the use of my magazine. All photo's have been edited on photoshop (process can be seen in future post). I really like the outcome of my photos and feel they fit in with the genre and audience of my magazine. During the process of planning and taking the images I have really thought about the codes and conventions of pop music magazines which I researched previously. I think my images fit into the codes and conventions of the stereotypical pop music magazine, however have some differences which I believe will act as a USP and therefore be beneficial to the success/popularity of my magazine. The images have been edited to make them look clearer/brighter and more professional/suitable for the young audience to be attracted to. I chose the model to be fairly young herself to make the magazine look more 'pop music' convincing; older people are not seen on magazines for young girls. I have used a wide variety of poses: direct address, winking, smiling and also some comedic poses. This is done to make the images look more engaging and youthful. I have also experimented with shot types: mid shots, close ups and long shots which, again, looks more engaging and interesting.

Media Pre-production Planning: Production Scheduling

My photoshoot will be taking place on the 20th of December 2013 in my friends house. I will be using a plain white wall and possibly the front area of the house which has some stairs (pictures below).
I have chosen to use a white wall of which i will edit in the photographs to look brighter and clearer due to my previous research on pop music magazines all of which use high key lighting and white backgrounds.
Because the majority of the photo's will be taken inside i do not have to worry about the weather etc.
I will be using a canon EOS 700D  to take my photo's with. This is my own camera which is very good quality and produces clear outcomes.
I will be styling the model and doing her hair and makeup of which i have planned out below.
I have also scheduled a backup date in case of a forced cancellation. This is to ensure my photo's are taken easily.

Media Pre-production Planning: Mock Ups

This is a brief idea of how i want my magazine to look. I used found images online to create these pages on Photoshop and in design. This process has given me a good idea on the layout, font, colors and text I will use on my actual magazine. This process has also allowed me to develop my skills on Photoshop/in-design and given me a rough idea on how long the magazine will take me to produce. There are many things I like about my mock ups and many things I would like to improve when it comes to making the real thing; both of these are extremely beneficial to the production of my magazine and its outcome.

Media Pre-production Planning: Flat Plans

This is my planned layout for my magazine. This will help me with the production part of the magazine as it will give me a basic foundation for the text and image placement on/in my magazine.

Media Pre-production Planning: Moodboard

This is my moodboard I created with a wide range of found images all relating to the genre of my magazine (pop). This will help me when creating my magazine due to the ideas it will and has given me for my own magazine. The board shows a variety of pop stars/pop bands that I can use within my magazine. It also shows some examples of magazines that share either the same genre or audience as my own magazine.
Overall this has and will help me with the production of my magazine due to the inspiration and information it has given me.
